In addition to Non-destructive testing methods, Tedex also offer Destructive concrete core testing which involves extracting a sample of concrete from the structure without compromising the strength. After this, the sample is cured before undergoing a NATA accredited compressive strength test and, if required, mass per unit volume (Density).

				THE SWITCH PERTH CENTRAL
Tedex were engaged to complete a full structural investigation of the perimeter tilt panels during construction, from Ground floor up to Level 39.   The building was constructed using a precast, grout tube method. The non-destructive investigation was carried out investigate voids within the grout tubes. If any voids were present, the grout tube had to be drilled and filled with grout.

				TL ROBERTSON LIBRARY UPGRADE, CURTIN UNIVERSITYWith investigations beginning in April 2019, Tedex were engaged to complete a full structural investigation of the building including the slabs, walls, concrete columns and slab-wall Corbel connections. Various methods were used to compile the final report including non-destructive scanning and destructive concrete strength testing. This report has helped engineers shape the design of the new building.

				EXCHANGE PLAZA UPGRADE, PERTH
Completed in early 2022, Tedex was involved in the upgrade of the new entrance at Exchange Plaza tower. The investigation included measuring the depth of suspended slab and topping slab in various locations. Reinforcement and concrete strength were also investigated to ensure the slab could withstand the weight of the huge steel posts and rings.
